Grandma's Calendar

I promised my mom I would do this calendar cover for her for Christmas, didn't happen . . . she got the calendar part so she could start using it. I finally finished it a while back.

These are my boys and my brother's boys . . . 5 boys, you will never get a good picture . . heck I don't ever get a good picture w/ MY 2, throw in 3 more there are bound to be alot of outtakes. This was the best so it went on the calendar!

Teacher's Pill Bottles

I decided to do the boys daycare teacher a goody basket in appreciation for all she does for the kids in her class. She always goes all out every holiday and has been the only teacher I know (so far) that gets down and dirty w/ them! So in appreciation I threw together a basket of 'relaxing' stuff for her! From soaps, lotions, chocolate's, etc.. Then I decided to throw in some 'pills' as a little humor. I searched and searched online for 'directions' b/c I KNOW I have seen them b/f . . . but couldn't find any so I made my own up! I am sharing them w/ you in case you would like to do something similar! ENJOY!

Stress Relief Pills

Directions: Swallow 3 pills upon signs of stress. If in 5 minutes stress is not in a manageable state, down the whole bottle in one gulp. Add chocolate if desired.

Relaxation Medication

Directions: Take 5 pills of varying colors with a large glass of milk. Lay on couch with television on . . in 20 seconds take 5 more, change channel to desired program, take 5 more, swig milk, take 5 more . . . take 5 more . . .

Recycled Gift Card Holders

These are made from Toilet Paper Roll's.

All you have to do is 'smush' them . . decorate both sides (I wrap my paper around much easier), decorate the front, sew the bottom end's together somehow (I would have tried machine sewing, but my machine is 'sick' right now) . . . then easily close the top where it is easy to open for the recipent! And there you have it . . . your 'home-made' gift card holders!

These 2 beauties will be going to my son's teachers . . they have some great ones this year!

Bucket Bouquet!

I did this as a challenge and LOVED it! I have been wanting to do these little button bouquets for a while and the challenge pushed me to do it. I took it a step farther and made a little bucket for my desk w/ upside down clothespins to hold pictures and artwork from my baby boys! This would be cute for a gift idea!

Sophia's Recipes Book

I did this paper bag album for a swap. I chose to do a recipe album for my person's little girl. I thought it would be a neat idea to do children's recipes that she could make w/ her mom or grandma then attach the pictures w/in the pages in the spots provided. I also sent 2 apron's (one child's and 1 adult's) and some cookie cutters and measuring cups. Hope she liked it!

All pull-out tags were laminated b/c I figured they might get pretty dirty! LOL! I know I am a messy cooker! Hee . .
