More Cyber Journal 'Catch-up'!!!

July 21st - "Where does a smile come from? Write about the person from your past or present who made or makes you smile the most." My boys most definitely! They crack me up most of the time watching them ‘interact’ with each other!

July 22nd - "What was the most important lesson you learned OUTSIDE of school?" You have to learn from your mistakes!

July 23rd - "What was the hardest thing to give up? Old toys . . I hated to see people taking off ‘my’ toys when we would have a garage sale!

July 24th - "Are you in your prime yet? Choose one prime number (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 57, 59, etc). Which best represents an age in your life that was 'prime.'" I would have to pick 29 (my age now) b/c I have my boys, my family!

July 25th - "Who stole your breath away? Write about a time you found it hard to breathe properly." Probably not where this question was going, but I would have to say during my c/s w/ my boys . . . during the middle it got hard for me to breath . . it was like I was gasping for air and couldn’t get enough.

July 26th - What piece of junk are you keeping? HA . . . I have too much. I have a stash of stuff right now that I ‘think’ I will alter one day (cans, etc) . . . irritates my dh to no end! Gotta love piles of junk!

July 27th - Hot or cold? I like it cold better . . . can snuggle up, but hate all the extra clothes and jackets!

July 28th - What's something you no longer own that you wish you still owned? Right now? MY CAR! Would be saving a TON on gas!

July 29th – What inspires you to scrapbook? I want to be able to leave behind cherished memories in a ‘creative’ way!

July 30th – Current random thought? I am really tired and just want to take a week off work to relax and catch up on my home stuff!

July 31st – What’s for dinner? HA . . . . um, not sure . . . it is dh’s turn to cook tonight! YAY!

Cyber Journal Catch-Up!

Lots and lots of catching up to do, so deal w/ it until I catch up! LOL!

July 5th - "Why so rebellious? Write about a time when you didn't give a darn about the rule/rules." Um, probably Senior year or right after I graduated from High School. I just flew by the seat of my pants most days then! Fun, fun times . . . always on the go!

July 6th - "Did they all play fetch? List the names of five or ten dogs from your lifetime. Write about why one sparks a stronger memory to you than the others." I don't think I have 'known' 5 dogs! Hee. Josie is our dog now . . . no she doesn't play 'fetch' . . we 'fetch' it for her. She is rotten though!

July 7th - "What is an unpleasant experience you had eating? Write a poem, paragraph, or something else about the experience." Probably several, but no particular one. Those times when someone is watching you 'try' a new recipe and you choke it down just to please them to smile and say it is awesome! Or you bite into something and um about cough it back up b/c it is not the same texture as it should be.

July 8th - "What makes you special? Write a piece that explains three things about you that make you a VERY unique person." Oh wow . . . I could go on and on here! LOL! J/K! I 'think' I am creative, friendly, open-minded . . . please no comments on this one, K?

July 9th - "What made it so bad? Write about your worst habit or about someone else's." Mine? Would probably be popping my knuckles! My dh yells at me all the time for it b/c it annoys him! :)

July 10th - "When was the last time you even saw a 'coaster'? What meaning of the word 'coaster' inspires the best memory for you? Write about it." This is funny. Um, this past weekend I tried to work on a coaster swap I am in, but I had no mojo so I couldn't! A coaster means scrapbooking to me now! LOL!

July 11th - "Did they have a kids' menu? Write about the restaurant that was your favorite when you were younger." I remember eating at Andy's alot when we were kids. I left my purple purse there one time . . . my mom got so mad at me b/c she had to call to see if it was still there and then we had to go back and get it! :)

July 12th - "What is a habit that most people find unpleasant? Either write a piece that focuses on that habit, or write about a fictional character who has that habit, but write it in such a way that it doesn't seem so unpleasant." I can't stand loud chomping or smacking. It is like chalkboard when you can hear someone chewing. I am weird I know.

July 13th - "How do you picture the best day of your life that hasn't happened yet? Write about it." Hum, spending it w/ my family and it being very relaxing. No fights to break up . . . complaints, etc

July 14th - "What goes on in your head? To not be bored, people often do interesting stuff. Write about a 'game' you play with the world in order to 'kill' boredom." When I am bored I am always thinking of things I need to be doing . . my 'to-do' list! So you ask why I would be bored in the first place anyway huh? LOL!

July 15th - "Did you take enough sun screen and bug repellent? Tell the story of something that happened on a favorite summer vacation with your family." I never had to worry about it. My mom always dosed us up good w/ both and made us where shirts to cover up whenever we went out in the sun.

July 16th - "How dumb did you feel? Write about a time you got swindled or ripped off." I will never forget I got screwed out of a book order in elementary school. I ordered about 15 books and my mom paid for them, but when the order came in another girl said the order was hers and no one had any backup to prove it so we had to split the books. AND she got some of the boys that I really wanted! I was so upset!

July 17th - "When did you last feel incredibly spoiled? Write about it." Um probably yesterday when I got a package in the mail from a friend. She sent me several items she really didn't have to send me. I am so thankful for my online friends I have met through the years!

July 18th - "How would you greet yourself? Write about your alter ego, your long-lost clone, or your evil twin as if he/she was a person you could meet on the street." If I saw MY twin? I would probably faint or laugh . . then think of cool ways to get my 'to-do' list done in twice the time!

July 19th - "How did they get your goat? Write about the time you made your parents the angriest. Tell parts of the story as though they were happening in slow motion." Probably one of the times I wrecked my cars . . yes plural. They weren't to happy w/ me either time! :(

July 20th - "Did you know what it was before opening it? Write about a time you received something unexpected in the mail." Yesterday . . . a package from my friend, it was so sweet of her to think of me and take the time to send me some scrappin stuff! Thank you b/c you know who you are! :)

This is a holiday I leave up to my hubby. He is big to do fireworks and wants it to be a 'show' for the boys, so . . . I really just want 'good food' every 4th! LOL!

Go on a cruise, it will probably have to be a scrapbooking cruise since my dh doesn't 'do' cruises, but heck . . . that will work too!

Go on a cruise! I don't see that happening unless it is a cruise w/o my dh! He is afraid of a "Titantic" re-happening. So maybe a "Scrapbook Cruise"???? Hum!

Saturday . . get to sleep in and you still have another day b/f going back to work! :)

Dog . . . I have always wanted a golden retriever.

The sweets! Cookies . . . etc . . anything SWEET!

Um . . no! I am not a sports person. I use to like the Dallas Cowboys, but that was only b/c I thought the quarterback was cute! (Troy) (wink)

Clue. I love the 'mystery' and challenge. Monopoly . . I HATE losing! And losing money at that! I hate being broke!

Chocolate! Yes & yes . . . not as good as my mom's though! :)

Favorite - vacuum (super easy)

I loved Dino from the flintstones as a kid . . . but now my kids have me on Elmo (not really a cartoon, but can be)!

Christmas . . . too many to mention! Love the scavenger hunts on Christmas morning. The maps to follow . . etc.

June 1 - Write about some places you went with your father.
We never really went anywhere just us that I can remember . . but we always went camping! I loved that b/c he made cobbler over the campfire and homemade ice cream!

Gosh . . I guess we mostly did stuff as 'a family' . . but I guess shopping. She took me shopping alot when I was little for new clothes for school each year . . .

June 3 - What do you think about movies - what is your favorite movie and why?
I love movies! Love to be able to curl up (b/f kiddos) and shut all the blinds and just watch movies all day. My favorite all time is The Goonies, then next would be Sweet Home Alabama.

June 4 - If you could be an animal, which one would you choose and why?
Gosh . . this is a hard one. I guess a bird. Not sure why though other than you get to fly and live in trees or cool birdhouses!

June 5 - Describe a typical day during your Junior High years..
I am suppose to remember back that far? Really! Um . . go to all my classes, eat lunch . . hang around outside and gossip. LOL! Then back to classes.

June 6 - What kind of extra-curricular activities did you participate in at school?
Not many . . . I was in the choir and that was about it. My of my 'extra activities' were outside of school. LOL!

June 7 - Tell about the houses you lived in childhood - addresses, phone numbers, etc...
I don't think I will be sharing that info 'online' . . but the house I grew up in was pretty cool I thought. Had a HUGE living room w/ 1 whole side to build forts in!

June 8 - What do you think brings good or bad luck?

June 9 - Describe your wedding day.
It rained! It was awesome though . . . pretty . . . wouldn't have changed a thing other than making sure my SIL closed my sunroof on my car all the way b/f she parked it and let everyone decorate it! (Cough Ashley) . . . I picked birdseed out till the day I sold it and as we drove off . . got shaving cream in my hair from it leaking down thru the crack! LOL!

June 10 - What are your food preferences and how did they come about?
Love seafood . . . I guess my dad. I use to remember him grilling shrimp all the time! LOVED IT!

June 11 - How did your mother spend her time?
Hum . . . when we were younger sewing or cleaning . . .

June 12 - Were you responsible for household chores? What were they? Which did you enjoy most/ least?
YES . . we had 'monthly' chores and my brother and I would switch chores every other month. I hated getting the kitchen and doing dishes (still do). . . LOVED keeping the upstairs clean though! EASY!

June 13 - What are your most deeply held values?
Gosh . . . another hard one. I think I am trying to make new values up as I go and see my family grow. I love our family time . . .

May 15 - Describe a favorite childhood friend and something you did with her or him. Childhood would have to be Robin from elementary school. When my mom would leave in the afternoons to go get my brother from school, I would stay home and chat w/ her on the phone till my mom would get back. We talked on the phone ALL the time!

May 16 - What is the most exciting place that you have ever been to and why? I would guess Rome, it was very 'different'. Would I go back? No.

May 17 - What was your worst, really embarrassing moment? I passed out when I was being 'taught' how to put in and take my contacts out. Several nurses and doctors had to carry me to another room till I came to! :(

May 18 - What games did you play as a child - inside and outside? Outside: Kickball . . inside . . wrestling w/ my brother! :)

May 19 - Where did your Grandparents live? What was their home like? Did it have a certain smell or look? My mom's parents lived in Conway a little over an hour from where we lived. My dad's parents lived about 15 minutes from us when I was little. Both of their houses just smelled 'old' to me . . . I am sure mine will smell the same to my grandchildren one day! :)

May 20 - Did you have a close relationship with your grandparents = tell about it. Sorta . . . I did my mom's dad. I lived with him for probably a year while going to college. It was neat and the stories he told were cool.

May 21 - Tell how, when, where you learned to drive and any memorable experiences? Around 15 I guess, my dad taught me . . . no memorable ones other than he held the dash board while I drove. :)

May 22 - Tell how, when, where you learned to drive and any memorable experiences? (See above)

May 23 - How did you like being the oldest, youngest or middle child? What were the advantages or disadvantages? I was the youngest. It was good and bad. I think they let me get by w/ more b/c I was the last child, but then again were tuff on my at times to comparing me to my older brother.

May 24 - Tell about a frustrating experience that you have had with a car. Hum . . which one? Too many to go thru . . . each one came w/ a special memory. The S-10 that died on left hand turns. The Nissan that I totaled or some guy totaled it for me and smashed his grandpa's car into mine . . . The Honda Accord that I tinted the windows to dark on and had to scrap the tint off the windows w/ a box cutter for 2 days.

May 25 - What is your advice to those younger than you? Enjoy it while you can! :)

May 26 - Were you ever in a drama, speech, sports, pep or glee club? Tell about it. Not really . . I did choir for about 2 or 3 years, Spanish club for a year I think . . . nothing special! :)

May 27 - Did you and your father share any interests together - what and why? Not really . . . we both like to be organized, not that you can tell it much by my house right now, but it drives me crazy if things aren't 'planned' out!

May 28 - Describe a typical day in elementary school. Go to school, eat lunch . . . playground . . . back to class. Walk over the hill to where my mom would pick me up! LOL!

Well I think we just 'became' engaged one day. We 'knew' we were going to get married one day it was the waiting for the money to get the ring really.

Having my boys and um . . the aftermath of having my boys w/ the c/s! Got ta' luv' 'em! :)

Ha,ha . . take it one day at a time! :)

Get up, go to church, meet Papa and Mema at McDonald's or Wendy's for lunch and go home to play.

Falling, I hate the fear of falling! Not scared of heights, just when I think of falling from those heights I freak out!

Large, 2 level . . my brother always jumped from the top level to the bottom level on his bike . . SO MUCH that he ran over and BROKE my favorite pink riding shoe! Yes, I have NOT forgave you for that Shane! :)

May 2 - Tell about your teen-age social life - your friends, dances, dating, outings, church functions etc.

Gosh, crazy, busy . . always running and on the go. Working, leaving work to go straight to a party or a friends house . . staying out late. Crazy! Cruising, yes, driving up and down the strip (gas was cheaper back then)!!! LOL!

May 3 - What would you like to be remembered for?

Gosh tuff one . . . great mom, wonderful wife, crafty . . not sure.

May 4 - What were your fears, expectations, anticipations about getting married?

My fear? Settling down and not getting the freedom to do as a please! LOL!

May 5 - Tell about a special date you had with a boy/girl friend or your fiancée.

Our first date (dh and I) was to a Razorback game where I had to meet his parents for the first time! On our first date! Not to mention his uncle and cousin TOO!!! I was pretty nervous!

May 6 - What is your mother's best trait? Worst? = the traits you share.

Traits that 'we' share only? Hum . . . her thick, wavy hair! It could also be considered in the 'worst' department as well! LOL! Some days I like it, some days I don't! Also, we both have nails and hair that grow REALLY fast!

May 7 - What is your father's best trait? Worst? = the traits you share.

Very organized! I know sometimes I don't 'seem' or 'appear' like I am, but in a way I am. Worst? Hum . . I guess quiet when you first meet him. I am the same way, nothing wrong w/ it . . I just have to 'warm up' to people first.

April 24 - Tell about home cures or old wives tales, hiccups, toothaches, earaches, arthritis.
The only one I can really think of off the top of my head is hiccups - I was always told to look at a bright light.

April 25 - Describe your wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses,
Hum . . special. I found it in a magazine and searched and searched for it. Tried lots on and nothing 'did' it for me. So our last chance boutique we searched and searched thru the racks and BAM . . the exact same wedding dress that was in the magazine! I tried it on and instantly 'cried' . . I 'knew' it was the one! We found another boutique that ordered it special for me and then did the alterations. I loved it. It was short, short sleeves a tiny bit off the shoulders . . beaded and bedazzled! LOL! (I will see if I have a picture of it soon)

April 26 - Write a description of your husband or wife.
Tall, dark, handsome? LOL! Really, he is tall, has dark hair . . and I think he is very handsome! LOL! Very laid back . . . that is what I love about him.

April 27 - Where did you live as a child - town, country, suburb, etc?
As a child I lived in a 'use to be' or 'seemed to me' small town. Guess it was small to me b/c I was small, but now as I look at it, it is the biggest town around! LOL!

April 28 - Do you have a favorite author why? who? Tell about your favorite books as a child - as an adult.
No favorite authors . . . no time to read! LOL!

April 29 - What do you feel has been the most significant world events that has taken place in your lifetime and why?
Oh my . . I remember the day the space shuttle exploded and probably the 9-11!

April 30 - Describe the most serious illness or accident that you have had.
Gosh . . not sure. I would have to say the pregnancy and birth and after effects of the boys was pretty stressful for me. Recovering from my c-section AND making trips back and forth to the NICU was hard. Then my c-section opening back up and becoming infected, um . . . didn't help matters! Pretty hard on me even though I tried not to show it or think about it b/c I had to worry about my boys! :(

I would assume it would be my cats. Daisy and Molly. Daisy still lives w/ my parents, but she was my baby! She is getting really old now though! And Molly, my dh gave her to me on Christmas one year.

TRAVEL! I want to venture out and see places w/ my family!

Washington D.C! Loved it! Also liked Arizona (Grand Canyon) too!

Pizza! LOL! (Think that was on my mind though) . . . probably sweets!

Anything CHOCOLATE!

Hum . . . CHOCOLATE? No . . . Strawberry? Don't really have a 'favorite' I guess. But I don't really care for bananna's . . I 'tolerate' them! LOL!

April 5 - Do you believe in love at first sight? Not really, I believe you have to grow to love someone.

I wanted to draw some sketches . . and I DID . . I drew 8 up. And when I finish stuffing my face lunch I will draw up some more . . .

I think I would have to say my dh right now . . so much has changed in my life and way of life, and thinking since I have met him, married him, and have children w/ him!
